Buyer Protection
[DRAFT – needs solicitor review] Buyer Protection is a service we provide to buyers on every purchase made through Jigzoo. It is not insurance.
The fee
£0.70 + 5% of the item price, shown on every listing before you buy. For example, a £10.00 puzzle has a Buyer Protection fee of £1.20.
Postage (illustrative prices)
- Small parcel: £2.99 – Up to 2 kg – most 500–1000 piece boxes
- Medium parcel: £3.99 – Up to 10 kg – big boxes, bundles, sorters
- Large parcel: £5.49 – Up to 20 kg – boards, tables, large bundles
What's covered
- The item never arrives.
- The item is significantly not as described – for example, pieces missing that the listing didn't mention, or a different puzzle.
- The item arrives damaged.
How it works
- You pay through the app. Your payment is taken by Stripe and the seller's share is held in the seller's Stripe account.
- The seller posts the item with tracking.
- When it arrives, you have 2 days to check it and tap "Everything's OK" or "Report a problem".
- If you report a problem, the payout is frozen while we review. If we decide in your favour, you get a full refund including the fee and postage. [Return-postage rules to be decided.]
- If you do nothing, the order completes and the seller is paid.
What isn't covered
Payments made outside the app; change of mind on private sales; issues reported after the order is completed. [To be finalised.]
